"DIDN'T SLEEP TONIGHT"

DEBUT SINGLE — OUT NOW!

"For a debut single, it is impressive the band found a winning formula so early into their musical journey. The expansive nature of neo-soul and the freedom of jazz is wrapped in a neat pop bow on My Mom Is Here’s 'Didn’t Sleep Tonight.'" - Glide Magazine

Did someone say rockjazzfunk?

My Mom Is Here is the brainchild of Sam Seiff (vocals) and Nick Sare (keys), who suckered their talented Columbia jazz pal Aidan Speckhard (drums) into playing tunes with them on an NYC rooftop. Ever since, My Mom Is Here has been rocking NYC venues with animated originals and innovative covers.

Sam grew up pawing through her parents’ extensive CD collection and her songwriting is thus inspired by artists like The Beatles, Stevie Wonder, Fleetwood Mac, Steely Dan, New Radicals, and more. Nick started touring with his group, Melt the Band, while in college. Nick's experience playing alongside bands like Sammy Rae & The Friends, Lawrence, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Couch, and Karl Denson (The Rolling Stones), drives the group’s developing sound.

Friends and moms laude the band for their tight musicianship and goofy onstage antics.

What's Up Next?

My Mom Is Here will be releasing their second single, "Memory Jar," on 31 August 2024. The song bears traces of The Beatles' instrumental builds, Stevie Nicks's visceral vocals, and Laufey's orchestral arranging.

The band will be performing monthly in NYC and will head west for a mini tour, making pitstops in Las Vegas (Sam's hometown) and Los Angeles.
